8 Questions about me

How was your Valentine weekend? I had a great one. Full of love (roses and chocolate) and some friends came over and I’ve cooked for them. That was quality time! about me - 8 questions - valentine gift - triwa - geisha chocolate - cactus
Since I’m new here, I’ve been blogging for a month now, I’m going to tell you a little bit more about me. The personal me. To do so, I have asked my fiancé 8 questions about me. I assume he is the one that knows me best. As a person, as a blogger… I think it’s important to build a little bit of a relationship with you, my loyal readers. I’m also curious what you would like to know about me… Anyways, let me start first a little bit with the answers he gave me to the 8 questions!

  1. What is the weirdest thing I’ve ever said to you?
“If I were you, I would go out and run.”
    – Because it’s was a nice way of you to say that I needed to exercise more because I gain some weight. You said that this was your opinion and this was a way to inspire me. Which worked, since I went out direct. You have an honest and direct personality and I like that.
  2. When was the moment you fell in love with me?
I fell in love completely, after you came to Katrineholm (Sweden) for 22 hours by plane. Because we were 22 hours together, it was very short time, but all the feelings were completely right. It showed that we both were so eager to meet up. It showed also that you have character. You’re a person with determination. You weren’t afraid to follow your heart and I admire that.
  3. What made you very happy; something that I did for you?
Surprise me with a surprise party last year for my birthday. It made me happy because I was completely shocked and surprised that you fooled me. I had to leave the house to your uncle to break a closet down and help him. I completely bought the story and I never saw the surprise party coming. I was very happy to see that so many people came especially for me, since I am not from the Netherlands and every one was Dutch (ok, some not, but through you anyways).
  4. What are my 3 bad habits?
    – You’re always fashionably late, taking so much time with your make-up and appearance. You care a lot about your outfit and want to show the best version of you.
    Uhm… wow, I’m thinking..
  5. Why do you believe in me as a blogger and motivated me to become one?
You have an eye for detail, you have good taste when it comes to clothes, looks, fashion, beauty and so on, in my opinion. You’re a classy person. You see something in the store that I don’t like and you manage to change my mind, because when I listen to your reasons and try (for example) the clothes on, I start to like it. When I wear or use those things we bought together, I get a lot of compliments usually.
You’re an organized person with clear goals and you’re reliable. You have a passion for writing and you love what you do on your blog.
  6. How did I change after becoming a mother?
You’re more sensitive than you were. You appreciate your health more and you show more empathy for other people when they have a hard time (like the refugees from Syria). You’re showing your appreciation for small things much more. You appreciate your family and friends even more now. You don’t need materialistic stuff to be happy. You still like it though, but you’re much more deeper. You were like a lion, so protective to our daughter. Féline was always your priority and you were a devoted mom.
  7. What is unique about me?
You’re a traditional person. The way you’re raised in a big family, all of them living close to each other. This makes you a warm, social and caring person. I think it’s good that you’re a spiritual person. You think more deep about life.
  8. How do you think that I influence people around me?
You’re suggesting people around you to try something new or convince them to do so. To try a new brand of clothes or a different type of dress. It can be anything. Some friends bought things you’ve put on your blog or told them about. You like to talk and share trends and people ask for your opinion about skincare and fashion. You love to go shopping together and people usually succeed when you buy things together. You help them. It’s fun to see this with the people that are close to us.

It’s great to know that you are a traditional person. Most of us here in the Philippines are like that. We live closely with our family and extended families. Something I truly cherish. With regards to your “bad habits” which I don’t agree with mainly because I am a girl too :), I wanna know, what outfit do you not want to be caught dead wearing?

      Hey Roselle,
Yes I like that a lot. One of the persons I love most is my grandmother. She is my example, we have a great bond. Thank you for the question!!

There will be good times and there will be bad times. I agree with Roselle. The Filipinos have strong family ties. Recently, I had surgery. Even if at times my sisters and I would have our disagreements, there were there for me throughout my stay at the hospital.

      That is traditional.

    Sabine,

This is very good. You asked your husband! Haha. Now as a fellow blogger I know you better too as a person.

What I learned most about you is that how the one you love feels about you is so important. He is a lucky man!

How much I’ve enjoyed reading all this; Mache must be a real dedicated partner to have such insights in your being! <3 One thing I'm still pondering on though.. Should your partner be the one person in the world that knows you best, or is it, and will it always be, your mother? :)

Thanks a lot! I think that’s very personal. I have a great band with my mother and we are really close and she knows me well. However I think that my partner knows me the best in other ways. But not every one has the same band with their partner as we have. =)

I don’t think your bad habits are bad at all! They show you care about yourself – and that’s super important, especially for mamas.

I love the way you did this Q AND A. It made me understand you more as a person, because I would proably see you better through the eyes of someone else than if you just told me things about yourself. I can see the love in this post, and I enjoyed reading. Thanks for posting!

Good job getting the person that knows you best to answer questions about you. I got my six year old to answer questions about myself last year for a Facebook status and it was funny yet eye opening at the same time.

I was born the eldest in the siblings of 3, but we’re almost as big because my father has 7 more siblings and our cousins and us are very tight knit! As well as my cousins on my mother’s side too. We always celebrate birthday together or milestones so I feel like we’re not just 3 sibling! Anyway, yep, I finally knew more about how awesome you are! Stay amazing! :)

This is a neat idea to let your readers know more about you, Sabine. I’m thinking of updating my About Me page as well and can I just say how this idea is appealing to me. I just might take a page from your book and do a question and answer bits well :) I think it’s a nice gesture to share a bit more about ourselves in our blog so the readers would at least have an idea of the person behind it. :)
