Beauty favs

So, my beauty favs for the moment are the following brands and their products:

Make-up Studio Amsterdam

  1. Nude Nirvana lipstick (15,90 euro)
  2. Lumière highlighting powder champagne (24,90 euro)
  3. Pro eyeliner gel Dark Brown (12,90 euro)
  4. Angled brush nr 21 (9,90 euro).

Why is this perfect to me? The nude lipstick is absolutely great for daily wear, it’s great on a party too if you don’t want to go for a very bright color. Maybe you’re wearing nude shades of clothes too. The eyeliner gel is dark brown and not as dark as a black eyeliner. It’s softer but still works great for the color of your eyes. It opens your eyes too. Just apply a small liner with the angled brush on top of your lash line. To finish your look, apply some highlighting powder. It will give your cheeks just enough color and it looks great on a tanned skin! It gives a golden glow!

Artdeco

  1. Mat Lip Powder 30 vibrant pink
  2. Mat Lip Powder 20 spring day

These are two ‘lipsticks’ that have a sponge as an applicator. The powder inside the lipstick and sponge are giving the color to your lips. Since it’s powder, it’s not shiny, but mat. It’s very soft on the lips, you don’t feel the lipstick at all. It’s a powder on the lips. The application is super easy and your lips are dry right away. The color is not screaming. The look is very natural. I could recommend it to work or any daily look.

Artdeco is an international brand from Germany – founded in 1985

Aveda

Aveda is a brand that I really like. I tried out their hand relief moisturizing creme. It stands for intensely moisturizing and will give you soft and supple skin. This is absolutely true. The white creme has a very relaxing scent as well. It’s smells a bit like herbs, flowers or plants. I love to carry this little tube of 40 ml in my handbag, so that I can use it every time I go out to the city for example.

Bluepaper Switserland

You might not know what this is. It is a luxe microporous film (some kind of ‘paper’) that gives you an instant fresh skin. You might wonder how that works? When applying make-up, your skin gets maybe a bit oily during the day. You just open this little mini box full of films, you swipe, press onto skin, lift off the film and see the result; all the oil of the skin is on the film. So goodbye shine! It makes your forehead, nose, chin or any oily part of your skin matte.  (9 euro a package – free worldwide shipping)

Beautiful lipstick colors. I like vibrant colors myself. Especially red lipstick. I have a few different red lipsticks. My favorite one is a red color from Rituals which is discontinued unfortunately.

My fave from your list was the eyeliner gel. I actually have one right now but it has a different brush than what you have. I actually cannot wait to see a photo or video of you using it or putting it. Somehow, like a demo or a makeup vlog? I can’t help but notice the marble table top you have. It looks so chic.

I think I’d like to try Artdeco, never used before and seem to be good quality, not to mention that a lipstick with a sponge is totally new for me. I prefer the red lipstick, although I use orange too.

I have zero make up skills so I totally pored through this post. I’m especially interested in the nude lipstick because I’m looking for a shade that I could use everyday. Cousin’s coming home from Sweden this August, so I’m going to totally ask her to look for this Amsterdam line for me! Art deco and Aveda I think we have in the Philippines, so will check those out in online stores. :) Thanks again Sabine!

I love that pink nude shade – I haven’t seen this brand in the UK but I’ll keep it mind for sure. I use a lot of Aveda products but haven’t tried the hand cream – looks and sounds lovely.

I don’t have oily skin but during the day it would be nice to freshen up my face, especially during Summer when it’s very hot outside, so I’ll definitely check out Bluepaper!
All the other makeup is beautiful as well :)

Thank you for the recommendations Sabine! I had never heart about those lip powder sticks but they sound good. Maybe I should try them because only matte lipsticks I really like costs around 100€ (Louboutin Rococotte), it’s great one for everyday look but quite pricy in my opinion. I would love to find something more valuable!

LIPSTICKS! Man, with the summef here in the PH, the colors you have are sooo perfect! I didn’t know artdeco sells the sponge type lippies though. There’s none like that over here… How is the color payoff and longevity of the orange one? <3 <3
