Come baby come! Everyone is waiting for you!
Come baby come
Well here we are now, today already 39+1 weeks pregnant. The due date is a couple of days ahead. From being scared of pre-eclampsia and HELLP until about week 34 and an early born baby again, until now, wanting him to come out. It’s such a switch. He can take another 3 weeks if he wants and that’s ok, but it seems like the practicing contractions that I have are preparing my body more and more. Although it doesn’t say anything about when he will decide to come out.
I don’t want to induce labor earlier than week 41-42 (as for now). The doctors say there is still a small risk for me to develop the pre-eclampsia, but if that will happen, we will induce labor right away. The good thing is, that there is no risk for the baby anymore. He is fully grown. Just a small risk (20%) for me to still get this pregnancy illness, like it has been the whole pregnancy. I don’t feel scared, we have come very far and I have experienced this pregnancy as a blessing.
A doctor offered a planned C-section at week 37, since the baby would be fully grown and we would exclude the risks for me completely. In my memory, the emergency C-section in my first pregnancy was horrible. So even a planned C-section is something I want to avoid. People don’t know that this surgery is really deep (7 layers they cut through) and the recovery from it, takes much longer usually than a vaginal delivery. I am looking forward to experience a vaginal delivery. I hope it will work this time, after one C-section there is a bit higher risk to get another one (from 20% up to 25%).
We are ready, so just come baby come! We can’t wait to meet you, little one! Everyone is asking when he will be born or when the due date is, so once more: I’m due 20th of June (I will be 39+6 that day, this is how they count in Sweden). The ‘midsommar’ (midsummer) tradition will be here too, maybe he wants to be born a midsommar baby. It would make him very Swedish haha!
To kill the time, I took some outfit pictures together with my mom. I love my new outfit, watch and hair accessory! The dress is maternity wear, the coat is not. The hair pin is so easy, just twist your hair and stick it in, it doesn’t have to look perfect, but there are different ways to place it into to your. I will soon post another hairdo with this hair accessory! My watch has a flower in it, I am so in love with that little detail!
Who said a highly pregnant woman can’t look stylish? I certainly feel great, I hope you agree and like my outfit! Let me know…
Send some good “come baby come” vibes to us!
