Sunday I was at this Hotspot in Amsterdam Remise47. Kevin was so lucky to have a free lunch for two there! He invited me, thank you for that Kevin!

Remise47
Remise47 is located close to the ‘Foodhallen’ in Amsterdam-West. Outside in the garden, there is a big blue cow. Hotspot in Amsterdam Remise47 - www.sofarsosabine.com Lunch 2This is their signature I suppose. It’s easy to find the place by having this blue cow in front of the entrance. The building is a former tramdepot. We ate in the room where they used to take care of the trams and repair them.

What they say about the location:

“Surrounded by the newest hotspots for the culture lovers, foodies and fashionistas, Amsterdam West is the place to be.”

Food
We could choose anything from the lunch menu. We ate two courses lunch, but we ordered everything together. I chose the pumpkin soup (of the day) and parmaham with truffle mayonnaise, rocket salad, pine nuts and Parmesan. He chose the tomato soup and Poached egg with smoked salmon, Hollandaise sauce and English muffin.

The menu has some typical Dutch food like “croquets”, it’s called “kroketten” in Dutch. They serve meat, fish and even vegetarian food.

Until the end of march (2016), they have a Promo Menu;

“We serve a new “urban bistro” lunch and dinner menu. To introduce this new concept we offer a special 3-course dinner* menu for only €22.5 in March.”

Ambiance
This Urban-Bistro restaurant is very spacious, the high ceiling and windows makes it feel very relaxing and open to me. The history of the building is very special. During having food, it felt cool that people used to fix the trams in here. The decoration and interior of the restaurant is stunning. I’ve seen the newest interior trends like ‘brass’. They had a beautiful red dress hanging in the red area of the building. I just had to show you! It was very pleasant to take pictures here. We loved the sign “Where am I” and the swing in front of it. Very funny. History and modern taste come together with good food. I thought it was absolutely fabulous. The hospitality was magnificent, the service great and the people polite. Just my kind of place!

    Remise47 looks quaint and lovely. It’s like a place where I’d want to spend an afternoon sipping a drink and reading a nice book while listening to relaxing music. Or, it’s a place I’d want to catch up with friends and chat all day.

    Wow, I like the ambiance of the resto! So chic and clean. And I like those cutesy stuff they used to decorate the place. If I were there I’d definitely eat at Remise47.
