Giveaway X Jewellery | bracelet for Féline

GIVEAWAY CLOSED. Winner is down in a comment.

Lovely to see you here while I’m telling you all about my new X Jewellery bracelet. This is not just a normal bracelet. I designed it myself and it’s has so much meaning to me! Next to that, I can give a bracelet and 3 calendars for 2017 away! Isn’t that amazing?

X Jewellery Giveaway Bracelet - X Calendar 2017 - X Foundation - Fashion Jewelry

X Jewellery

First of all, let me tell you a bit more about the brand X Jewellery. They are a small start-up from Denmark, working with a talented group of Danish designers whose high quality bracelet links are the perfect blend of function and style. Since their inception in 2013, the link bracelets have spread to 20 countries around the world, growing every day. X Jewellery has 3 features, where they stand for. They are the 3 X Promises:

  1. Jewellery made by you
  2. Iconic Scandi Design & Craftsmanship
  3. Support us in empowering women

The design of the Jewellery is something you decide yourself. The bracelets are made of different chains and every chain has a different meaning. So the chains that you feel are meaningful for you, you can use for your own bracelet. The same with the color and material. They have links in rubber, silver and bronze. I decided to use only bronze links, since I wear a lot of gold.
The second point is the Iconic Scandi Design & Craftsmanship. The links are high quality and you can wear them over and over again. It’s possible to use different links every day so you can mix and match the bracelet with your daily outfit. The links have a small opening and you can unlock two links by holding the two openings together. It’s very simple. However when they are stuck, they won’t open by itself. I’m truly amazed by this smart system!
The third promise is; while wearing the bracelet, you’re supporting the X Foundation where I will tell you a bit more about in this article as well. 10% of the annual profits of X Jewellery will go to inspiring women because of that! How cool!

X Jewellery Giveaway Bracelet - X Calendar 2017 - X Foundation - Fashion Jewelry X Jewellery Giveaway Bracelet - X Calendar 2017 - X Foundation - Fashion Jewelry

X Foundation

The X Foundation is part of X Jewellery. Thu, the CEO of X Jewellery explains:

“The Foundation is set up to support women with an ambition, project or dream centred on doing something both for herself and for others; a project that reaches beyond her own immediate needs. Whether that recipient has created a charity for disabled children, is an astronaut wanting to explore space for scientific reasons, or someone who has established a juice bar to improve the health of their local community… it doesn’t matter how big or small the dream, just that they are a woman with a vision that benefits somebody else” – Thu, CEO of X Jewellery

In the calendar you will find 12 female heroes; every day women that inspire me with their story. They have gone through a hard time and share their strength. Every month you find a picture and a story. It’s very inspiring to have a calendar like this, full of stories from those female heroes. The X foundation supports these heroes. I can give 3 X calendars away to 3 of my followers. A great way to start the new year!

However if you’re interested to by the calendar; order your own Calendar here. Select your country on the website first. The price depends on it. They deliver worldwide.

Bracelet “for Féline”

Let me tell you why I was in tears when I got the chance to work with X Jewellery. They offered me a bracelet of my choice. I designed it completely myself. I choose every link of it. The story of our daughter Féline who passed away after living for four months and the love we had for her, is told by my bracelet. I will tell you a bit about how every link I choose, stands for a memory of Féline. It’s a real precious bracelet to me, because I remember and cherish her with it.

My first link is the Rendez-vous (single bronze link). This link stands for that one day we will meet again. The link Now (double bronze link) stands for love and that by loving her and living our life now, she will be with us every day. Freed feather (double bronzed link) symbolizes that she is free from all the physical pain in the hospital. One day I will be freed from the pain that I miss her every day. The day we will meet again. Right now she is My star, (single bronze link), when I look up to the sky, I think of her. My heart, (single bronze link) was the first thing that she heard, when she was growing in my womb. Now, she is forever in my heart. Féline her DNA, (double bronze link) is 50% me and 50% my husband. She was ours completely. To complete the bracelet, I used the Basic (single bronze) links and finally the lock called Flow (lock bronze), to close and open the bracelet. I have some extra links, to make my bracelet a big bigger, wearing it a bit more loose.

First of all, I would like you to know that you are so amazing for having this kind of idea, it was brilliant. A bracelet not just for nothing but a bracelet with a reason and i salute you for coming up to this idea.

The person who inspires me is no other than my mom. She is the stongest woman i know whether physically or emotionally. Why? Because this past months we suffered from a big problem. It was month of may back then when my father’sdoctor told us that he has a tumor and an operation is needed immediately. (My father is a seaman btw) We were all shocked upon hearing this news, we never encountered as big as this problem. I am the oldest daughter and i have a little sister who’s 5 years old. So my parent’s decided to go to Iloilo city to for the operation because we live in general santos city and the hospitals here is not that standard compared to iloilo. I was left in the house because the plane ticket was so expensive. They still have a little bit savings and they decided to use that for the operation. My father’s first operation was successful but weeks later his head starts to hurt again. The doctor again said that they must undergo for another opera. Luckily, the second operation was successful. He stayed in the ICU for how many days because we cannot pay the remaining balance of the hospital fees. My mother find a way of getting a money and she borrowed to our families and with the help of my Tita & Tito’s finally they was discharged. They stayed at my Tita’s house there (sister of my dad) while my dad was recovering my mom went back here in gensan to fix things here. Days passed and we thought things is getting better but one night my auntie called my mom and said that my dad is not okay. My dad has another disease and without hesitation my mother fly to Iloilo for the second time. I was calling them through phone every night. I was crying while talking to my dad because my mother told me that dad’s not doing good. Weeks passed and he cannot speak we already discharged him on the hospital because we cannot give the financial support because all the savings were 0. They decided to treat it with herbals and again everything was doing good each day. My mother fly back here to gensan because there is no one in the house except me and my sis. One night my tita called us again and said My father is already dead. I didn’t know what to feel, to say. I was just crying and never stopped. I could not believe it. We went to iloilo and i when i saw my father my heart broke not just by pieces but more than that. My father, my hero was now dead. The last time i saw him he was so fine but how did this all happen? why did this happen? I miss him. So much that i can’t move on to this wound in the heart and what broke my heart the most? My mom. I was hurt not just a daughter but becaus ei know that what my mom felt with this happenings of our life is twice than what i felt. I remember she was said to me that “Yung taong kasama nangarap, kasama kong bumuo ng pamilya, katuwang ko sa lahat ng bagay wala na. Hindi hindi na ako makakahanap ng taong katulad niya. Pero kahit masakit tatanggapin ko kasi andiyan pa kayo. Patuloy padin sa buhay diba nak? Laban lang.” That statement from her really broke my heart. She still fights even though i know that it’s so hard, she was so brave to face the challenges and never let us down. I’m so proud to have a mother like her and even though my dad is now in Heaven i know that he is so amazed by my mom’s braveness. It was august when my father died and now we maybe not healed truly but i know time will come and we will accept things like this. For me, there is no other stronger woman i know just like my my mom. I love her so much and i’m so lucky to have her.

I wanna win this bracelet because i wanted to give this to her. Her birthday is December 26 and i can give this to her as a birthday present. Sorry for this comment is so long but i just wanna share how strong my mom is 🙂 Thank you for this giveaway! God Bless po! ❤️

Sabine, I am translating this part for you.

“Yung taong kasama nangarap, kasama kong bumuo ng pamilya, katuwang ko sa lahat ng bagay wala na. Hindi hindi na ako makakahanap ng taong katulad niya. Pero kahit masakit tatanggapin ko kasi andiyan pa kayo. Patuloy padin sa buhay diba nak? Laban lang.”

The person you shared dreams with, raised a family, and shared everything together is gone. I can never find another person like him. Even if it is painful, I will accept it because you are here (referring to her children including Erika). Life goes on, right? Let’s keep fighting.

Your post has bought a tear to my eye! What a lovely, lovely idea to create the bracelet in memory of your daughter. That is so special and truly unique. I would love to win a bracelet for my mum, please. It has been a very tough year for our family. My uncle (my mum’s brother) passed away in the summer and it has hit us all hard. My mum is not someone who usually does/buys anything for herself and I think creating a bracelet in memory of her brother would be such a lovely gift for her, and a gift that lasts too. Thank you for the giveaway and the chance to win such a precious gift.

Wow, knowing that you personally design the bracelet would be truly amazing. I don’t have talent with things like this and I salute you for having that gift. I like how you come up with the design and would be very happy to bring home the bacon as a lucky winner cause I’ll give it to my mother as my Christmas presents. Thank you so much in advance and Merry Christmas!

Wow! Both X jewellery and you are amazing for coming up with not only a stylish but meaningful quality bracelet. I’m aware of your lost daughter and I’m sure she’s really happy that you remember her always even up to picking up the designs. It’s no easy task, but you did it! Anyway, I joined your giveaway. How I wish I’ll win as I’ll give it to the person who inspires me the most, my mom. I’ll give it to her as a Christmas gift if ever *fingers crossed I win because she loves dressing up.

I have read your post twice by now and there are a few things that came to my mind. We have talked and chatted for several months already and I really feel your pain. I believe you wrote this post with your heart hence I can feel your emotion. The bracelet you designed was done with love. It may come with a monetary value but I think the thought behind the careful selection of its parts makes it even more invaluable.

I know you will pick a winner based on how they respond to the criteria of the contest and whoever is picked, would value the bracelet and the story behind it.

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know you lost a daughter, I can only imagine how painful it must have been for you. I am almost teary eyed when I read about the meaning of each link on your bracelet. This is so powerful really. It’s great of you to honor the memory of your baby.

Of course I am joining this contest, not only because the bracelet is beautiful but because I want to support the foundation who made it.

    Dear Sabine,
Thanks for this giveaway… if I had the opportunity to win this (which is so slim since everyone writes so awesome here….) I would dearly love to design a bracelet just like yours for my cousin …
My cousin is older then my by more then 15 years. She has been almost like my 2nd mother but better then my mom as my mom is a little bit selfish and only thinks of herself…
My cousin has been the one supporting me emotionally and even sometimes financially and help put my eldest girl through university… My life would have been in the dumps if it was not for her and with my tendency of being hyper stress, heaven knows what I would have done with out my cousins love, care and assistance all this while….
So she deserves more then a bracelet, but if I win this, this is all for her…
Thanks for this opportunity… fingers crossed I can give my cousin a lovely Christmas present with this….

Such a heartwarming post and so sorry for your loss. We can only count the ways to honor our loved ones and a personalized jewellery seems like a good way to do it. My parents start to get old and sickly (esp my mom) and lately, I started to ponder a life without them. It was difficult to do without shedding a few tears so I can only imagine the pain of losing a loved one.

I hope you find peace and acceptance through this thoughtful idea of customized jewellery. Sending you peace and love from Cebu, PH.

oh sabine, I am so sorry to hear of your baby Feline. It’s so beautiful that you chose to design a bracelet to remember her and that you shared with all of us about it. That’s a very strong step towards grief recovery. I send you a big hug.

If I win the bracelet I would send it to my 17 year daughter in Peru who finishes school this year and is taking her college entrance exams next week. I haven’t seen her in a couple of years because we live so far away from each other but I hope to see her next year. I will now go over and like the instagram account for X jewelry and tag a friend on your photo.

thanks for the giveaway, its very inspiring.

    Hi Sabine,

    1. How does it work? To be given the opp to design their own bracelet? Should one send an application if they’re interested?
    2. Will they pay for the raw mats and manufacture it on their own, afterwards it will be co-branded by them?
Or They will design and submit their concept, and the company will produce?
    3. Are they designing for their own consumption or this will eventually be part of the company’s product line?

Some of my lady friends might be interested to design their own jewelry.
